What are loading meters?
Loading meters (LDM) measure how much floor space cargo occupies on a trailer. One LDM equals one running meter of a standard 2.4m-wide trailer. A standard Euro pallet (120×80 cm) occupies 0.40 LDM.
How to calculate LDM

Common pallet types
- Euro pallet (EUR/EPAL): 120×80 cm = 0.40 LDM
- Industrial pallet: 100×120 cm = 0.50 LDM
- Half Euro pallet: 80×60 cm = 0.20 LDM

- Standard semitrailer: 13.6m = 13.60 LDM (33 euro pallets)
- Mega trailer: 13.6m × 3.0m height = 13.60 LDM
